Signs Brisbane were approached by Simon’s National Carriers – a large national transport company – to offer a specialised colour solution for their full new fleet of 18 Volvo trucks.

Their priority requirements for this project were to maintain a good resale value of the prime mover trucks at the end of the two-year lease given, and to take the utmost care in preserving and matching the uniqueness of their corporate colour when making their vehicle graphics.

Simon’s National Carriers are nationally recognised by their unique patented corporate colour. This colour is so unique and specific that colour matching with an existing cast vinyl or digitally printing with latex or eco-solvent printers would not ensure a perfect colour match and therefore an alternative route was required.

We offered the client the innovative solution of having the vinyl specifically manufactured to their patented corporate colour by 3M to ensure perfect colour matching. To arrange this, we liaised directly with 3M colour labs in the United States to ensure the highest quality of finish, both colour-wise and longevity-wise.

In order to meet their installation deadline, 18 rolls were airfreighted from the United States to our vehicle installation facility. The fleet of 18 white prime movers were delivered on a rotational basis and each vehicle was completely wrapped and signed within two days.

At the end of the lease, the speciality vinyl will be removed to reveal a pristine, un-scratched white truck underneath, which will enable a higher resale value for Simon National Carriers.
